Jai Tulsi Trust was established on the 3rd day of June, 2003 by six settlers — all residents of Borguri, Court Timali, Tinsukia, Assam — with the purpose of advancing education and the public good in the Tinsukia district and beyond. The Trust is the founding and patron body of Our ABC Academy.
Under the Trust Deed, the Chairman is Sri Narayan Sarmah (Er. Narayan Sarmah), and the Board of Trustees consists of not fewer than three and not more than seven members at any time.
Objects of the Trust.
To establish, maintain, and assist schools — from primary to higher secondary — in Tinsukia and neighbouring areas, providing classical, cultural, scientific, and general knowledge of the highest order.
To provide for research, lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, public meetings, and conferences — to propagate the cause of education in all fields, religion, national health, and human welfare.
To establish and maintain libraries, museums, societies, lecture halls, and other institutions; to furnish them with books, reviews, magazines, newspapers, and all requirements.
To collect and preserve old classical manuscripts, literature of all kinds, paintings, sculptures, and cultural artefacts.
To grant monetary assistance, scholarships, and loans to deserving poor students to enable them to receive education, training, and qualification — from primary through professional and vocational level.
To supply books, food, clothing, and school fees to poor students; to accept and apply donations and gifts for the objects of the Trust; and to do all lawful things incidental to the attainment of the above objects.

Families offered a place at Our ABC Academy may apply to the Jai Tulsi Trust for need-based scholarship of 10–50% of annual tuition. The application is treated with complete confidentiality.
A three-person committee — one trustee, one teacher, one external CA — decides without seeing the child's name or academic record. The decision is final and communicated within 15 working days of application.
