About NCC

Discipline, Leadership, Service.

The National Cadet Corps unit at Our ABC Academy is affiliated to the 26 Assam Battalion NCC, Digboi. The NCC is a voluntary organisation open to students from Class VIII upward. It is not an extracurricular — it is a formation programme that builds physical fitness, discipline, team cohesion, and a sense of national service.

Cadets attend weekly parade sessions and undertake Annual Training Camps (ATC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), and various social service activities. The highest goal for a cadet is to qualify for the Republic Day Parade, New Delhi.

Certification

A, B & C Certificates.

A Certificate

Awarded to Junior Division cadets (Class VIII–X) after 2 years of training and passing the NCC examination. Recognised for admission preference in several colleges.

B Certificate

Awarded to Senior Division cadets (Class XI–XII) after 2 years of training. Confers additional points in UPSC and state PSC examinations.

C Certificate

Highest NCC certification. Awarded after 3 years in the Senior Division. Carries significant weight for armed forces recruitment and college admissions.

NCC certificates carry formal government recognition. The B and C certificates provide direct advantages in UPSC (5 marks bonus), state government recruitment, and in admissions to many central universities under the defence quota.

Several former students of Our ABC Academy have gone on to join the Indian Armed Forces, crediting the NCC training here as the foundation of their selection.
