School Policies & Guidelines.
The rules and principles that govern school life — conduct, fees, attendance, safety, and communication.
Student Conduct Code.
Our ABC Academy expects every student to behave with respect, honesty, and care — towards people, property, and the institution. The following principles form the basis of our conduct expectations.
No student shall use abusive language, engage in bullying, or demean any individual — student, teacher, or visitor — in person or online. Ragging in any form is a dismissal offence.
Full school uniform is mandatory on all school days. Jewellery, coloured hair, and non-regulation footwear are not permitted. ID cards must be worn during school hours.
A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in CBSE board examinations and to be promoted to the next class. Leave of absence requires prior written application.
Plagiarism, copying in examinations, and submission of another person's work as your own are serious disciplinary offences. First offence: warning. Second: zero in the assessment.
Mobile phones are not permitted in classrooms or examination halls. Violation: device confiscated for the term. Smart watches are not permitted during assessments.
Students are responsible for the school property they use. Wilful damage must be made good at cost. Vandalism or graffiti: disciplinary action plus full restoration cost.
Fee Payment Policy.
Fees are fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee, Government of Assam. No charge beyond the FRC-approved fee may be levied. The school publishes the fee schedule on this website and on its notice board.
Fees are payable quarterly. Not more than one quarter's fee may be demanded at a time.
Under Section 19 of The Assam Non-Government Educational Institutions Act 2006, no compulsory donation shall be levied or collected from any student's parents or guardians.
An official receipt must be issued for every payment. Parents should collect and retain all fee receipts. In case of discrepancy, the receipt is the legal document.
Any excess fee collected shall be refunded within 30 days per FRC Order. Application for mid-year withdrawal: fee refund as per FRC norms applicable at time of withdrawal.
Attendance & Leave Policy.
75% attendance is mandatory for board exam eligibility and promotion. Medical leave supported by a doctor's certificate is considered separately for condonation (maximum 10%).
Planned leave of 1–3 days: application to class teacher at least 2 days in advance. Leave of more than 3 days: written application to the Principal. No leave granted during examinations except medical emergency.
Students arriving after 8:30 AM are marked absent. A parent note is required for each late arrival.
Early departure only on written request from parent/guardian. The student is released only to the person named in the application, after identity verification at the front office.
Child Safety & POCSO.
Our ABC Academy is fully compliant with The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012. The school has a designated Internal Complaints Committee and follows mandatory reporting protocols.
All staff are trained in POCSO awareness. Any complaint or concern involving a child is treated as a priority and reported to the designated authority within 24 hours.
A constituted ICC handles all complaints of sexual harassment — from students or staff. Members include at least one external woman from an NGO or legal background.
The school maintains a zero-tolerance policy on physical, verbal, and cyberbullying. Anonymous complaints may be submitted to the Principal's office. All complaints are investigated within 5 working days.
Campus is under 100% CCTV surveillance. Unauthorised entry to school premises is not permitted. All visitors must register at the front office. Visitor access to classrooms and hostels is restricted.
Parent Communication.
5 Parent–Teacher Meetings per year: June 6, August 29, October 10, December 12 (all Nur–XII), and January 9 (Class X–XII only). Respective classes remain closed on PTM days.
PA1/UT1: June. Half-Yearly: September. PA2/UT2: November. Pre-Board: December. Annual Exam: February–March. Results shared within 2 weeks of examination completion.
Class circulars are issued for important announcements. The school office is reachable Mon–Sat 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Email: oabctsk@gmail.com · WhatsApp: +91 60338 60003.
Parent concerns to be addressed first to the class teacher, then wing lead, then Principal. Formal written complaints to the Principal are responded to within 5 working days.
